If you are like some organizations, you are still making a few some adjustments because of supply chain issues.  Even if that’s the case you may want to ensure that for everything you must adjust (those initiatives that take something away from your customer) that you add something special back into what you do.

You’re probably wondering how you can add things when you might be cutting some expenses to make ends meet. All you hav eto do is make sure that you are doing some initiatives (even if they are small)that give your customer a desirable experience.   Here are a few ideas to consider:

CUSTOMER CENTRIC IDEAS THAT CUSTOMERS WILL LOVE

1.     PERSONALIZE SOMETHING FOR YOUR CUSTOMER

Here’s an example. Coffee prices are rising, so my coffee may cost more than a few months ago. Recently, though when it was my birthday and I happened to mention it, the barista wrote “Happy Birthday, Dan” with a sharpie and drew balloons and stars on the cup. Who would take the time to doit. She would. It meant the world to me. It’s worth more than almost anything else she could have done.

2.     START A CUSTOMER WISH LIST

Maybe you could keep a list of your customer’s wishes and call them when you get in the merchandise in.

3.     GIVE OUT PROMOTIONAL CALENDARS

It may cost a little, but if you’ve never given out calendars with your names on you might order some this year and provide as many as you can to customers. Each month they see your name again and again.

4.     PROPERLY DEBUT NEW PRODUCTS

Sponsor a breakfast for your top clients and debut some of them newest things you’ll be adding to your product/service line-up.

5.     HAVE A MONTHLY DRAWING

Collect customer contact information in a container and select one customer to get a special discount or small free item.
