When is the last time you recognized someone special? So many times in life, we are so concerned about getting things done on deadline, fixing things that are broken, having crucial conversations to turn situations around, as well as other business initiatives, we never take time to say “thank you” to someone important in our life.
Today I realized that I am guilty of this, but there’s no time like the present time to correct it.
About 13 years ago I started my training and executive coaching firm and had no idea at the time whether it would be a success or not. It was a dream I always had— even back during my corporate life. I have been very successful working with hundreds of businesses and just shy of nearly 1,000 coaching clients.
I have always had assistance and assistants along the way, but the one partner who makes it all possible is my wife. Not only does she take care of every business detail for the firm, but she also gives me insight into client situations and helps with the human resource needs of those I work with.
She is the final edit for everything I publish and seems to always add that last sweet note that makes what I do special. I remember when I was struggling to name my book on time management and she said,“PerfectTIMING”. Perfect it was and has been as people continue to read it still today.
Of course, even though she’s essential to my organization, that’s only a small fraction of what she means to me as my wife. This, Deborah, is a blog dedicated to you. I love you and thank you for everything you do.
Now, it’s your turn, reader. Who have you not thanked that you need to thank today?
