2011: Helping you Reach your Next Level

Posted on by Dan Chiodo

Isn’t it great? It is time for a New Year. And every New Year gives you the chance to assess where you are in life and determine if you are satisfied or if you’d rather be a New You. That doesn’t mean you should change all the good things about yourself, but maybe there are some big goals you want to achieve (and have had a tough time doing it), or maybe you have some behaviors that you want to improve upon or even change.

Why not make 2011 the year to be successful? Everyone has a “next level”. That’s why our theme for the year is “Helping you Reach your Next Level.” With my Executive Coaching Experience we will partner to determine the steps you need to take to achieve what you have in mind. With am iMPACT program you will be able to get their quicker that on your own.

Finally, if you are a person who likes to make New Years Resolutions or set goals, you’ll like my new exercise called “You Are in the Driver’s Seat”. It’s a two part exercise that will put you a step ahead for 2011. Call me and I will be glad to show you how it works.

REMOVING ALL THE CLUTTER CREATES EXCITEMENT AND PEACE

Posted on by Dan Chiodo

If you’ve ever moved before, you know that part of the move involves packing the essentials for what you need that first night in the new home. I’ve moved about 15 times in my life and every time I live out of a suitcase for a day or two, I realize that you really don’t need a whole lot to function. Not only that, I find myself very happy and excited that a new chapter is starting in my life. And the absence of clutter is uplifting.

The worse thing I could do is pull all of the items I had at the last place into the new place. If I did, it would be more cluttered and start to feel too confining. You don’t have to make a physical move to a new address to take a new look at how you live life. Just call it “a new season” and see if there are ways you can make some changes.

Here are a few ideas to consider:

1. MASTER FOCUS
By only living with the essentials, you will be able to focus much better than before.

2. GIVE SOMEONE A HAND UP

The 2010 census shows us that there are a lot more people living in poverty than ever before. Why not give some of your things away to those less fortunate. A recent news story on CNN shows that some people really wonder if they will be able to have enough money to get through the week. You could be the person that changes their life.

3. DON’T FORGET YOUR EXERCISE PROGRAM

If you move to a new address and you are a runner, you have a new route that you will be using. That adds a nice new outlook on your exercise program. And if you didn’t move, is this a good time to shake things up and try something new?

4. MEET THE NEW YOU

Don’t be afraid to be the new you. So many people don’t make changes or try new approaches because others may make comments or wonder what we are doing. But in order to find the true you, you have to take a full view.

5. CARVE OUT TIME FOR YOURSELF

There will be times when you make a move that you are so exhausted, you just want to relax. It is those times that you realize how important it is to have “Me Time”, that special time that is just for you. So whether you moved recently or not, take time today to answer this question: ”How long has it been since I took time to sit and think about how my life is going and what my mission in life is?” Try it. You may learn something you never knew.

Why Do We Procrastinate?

Posted on by Dan Chiodo

People procrastinate for various reasons, but one (believe it or not) is fear. There can be a fear that they will not do well at whatever task they are doing or that someone will criticize them.

The good news is that there is a way to overcome that in Executive Coaching. We figure out why a person is procrastinating and then move them to accomplish the goals they have been frustrated about not doing.

How You Start Your Day Determines How You End Your Day

Posted on by Dan Chiodo

Think about how you typically start your day. Do you get up ready to accomplish great things and enjoy the day or do you worry about what can go wrong? How you start your day determines how you end your day. Ask any salesperson who is trying to get business. One “yes” from a client feeds them to try for a second “yes”, etc.

Think about how you will handle tomorrow. Will you wake up energized and ready to go or will one bad event make you think it’s just not going to be a good day? It’s your decision.
